Volunteers at 2008 PrideMidwest AIDS Prevention Project (MAPP) offers the OraSure HIV test. Orasure is an oral collection device (no needles, no blood) used to look for HIV antibodies in your body. The test is 99% accurate. When you come into our office, expect to spend about 15-20 minutes total for the whole procedure which includes risk reduction counseling in addition to administering the actual test. When you test for HIV at MAPP, you may choose to test confidential (share your name and address) or anonymous (no personal information shared). Any personal information you do share will not be shared with others without your permission.

Results take one week to come in (on average). You must return to the office to receive your results or arrangements can be made to meet you at the venue you tested at (if somewhere other than the office). Results cannot be given over the phone.

Please call us at 1-888-A-CONDOM for more information or to schedule a testing appointment.
